Here’s how I work:
Client Questionnaire:
I start by having all new clients fill out a questionnaire. You can find it on my Get a Quote page. This provides me with information that is vital for me to have in order to give you an estimate. It’s not everything I need to know, but it’s a good start. I find that clients who can thoroughly answer all of the questions are those who are really serious and ready to begin the development of their website.
Review & Consultation:
I will review your completed questionnaire, which can take up to three business days, and see if we’re a good fit. If so, I’m happy at that point to schedule a 30 minute phone consultation. Although most of my clients find that they can effectively communicate with me via email, many find that some items lend themselves better to a phone discussion. My phone consultation requires advance payment of $40.00 and is applied to your project estimate’s final billing.
Project Bid, Approval & Deposit:
You will receive an email from me with my estimate of your project. Once I receive approval of the estimate from you, I will send you a PayPal invoice for the commencement deposit, which is 50% of the total project cost.
Site Development:
From there, it’s a matter of gathering specific information and direction from you. I will ask for necessary logins to your hosting account and WordPress so that I can upload necessary files and do the editing I need to do. I’ll ask you for any graphics you have that will be used on the site. We’ll get specific on the site navigation, color scheme and layout. We’ll discuss the functionalities you want the site to have so I can choose the right solutions for your site. Basically, you’ll answer questions and provide info, I’ll answer questions and provide info and in the end…you’ll have a truly wonderful WordPress site that works.
