WordPress Resources

I’ve been working with WordPress since 2006, and I get quite a few questions about services and plugins I recommend. Here on this page, you’ll find the resources that I turn to again and again when working with WordPress. I’ll be adding to this list periodically so bookmark away if you want. :)

WordPress Hosting

HostGator: I’ve used HostGator for years and they’re usually the first host I recommend to clients. I’ve just never had any weird issues with them like I have with some other hosts. HostGator provides shared hosting, which is usually adequate for most small business sites, and they also provide Virtual Private Servers (VPS) and dedicated servers as well.

BlueHost: The first hosting company I ever used, BlueHost kept my business because of their great support.

Servint: When you need more than shared hosting, Servint is a good choice. They offer VPS, Dedicated, and Self-Managed hosting solutions.

Domain Registration

Namecheap: Good prices and great support.

WordPress Plugins

WishList Member – Membership Site Plugin: This is an easy to use plugin that lets you turn your WordPress site into a membership site. You can create unlimited membership levels and it integrates with popular shopping cart solutions so you can collect membership payments easily. Lots of features.

Gravity Forms – Contact Form Plugins: THE best contact form plugin for WordPress.
